When did it become normal, heck even expected, for people to suffer from digestive problems?
I see this in my practice ALL the time. I ask people, “How is your digestion?” and they say OK, but then go on to mention how they frequently have gas, bloating and heartburn, and at least occasional constipation.
Newsflash: THAT’S NOT NORMAL!
No one came into this world with a pre-determined destiny to live their days belching, farting, looking perpetually pregnant and having their chest on fire every time they eat.
Instead, these are ways your body is telling you something isn’t right…and it’s time to LISTEN.
Here is what your body is trying to say:
It’s one of two things!
If digestive issues are your regular companion, trust me, it’s the result of one of two possible things.
Either what’s going IN or what’s going ON.
Here is the scoop on both of those.
What’s going IN
When you regularly eat “food” that does not resemble anything in Nature and your beverage of choice comes in a can, you are rolling out the red carpet for problems from UR-mouth to UR-anus.
Your body was meant to eat REAL food—not “stuff-in-a-box,” fast food, snack chips and sweets, washed down with the vile, disease-creating liquid poison called soda.
Keep it real. There are tons of delicious meals you can make from real foods like meats, poultry, fish, veggies, eggs and fresh fruits. And make water your 1st beverage choice as much as possible—nothing will destroy your digestion (and your overall health) faster than soda.
Now, don’t even try to tell me you don’t have the time to prepare real foods. If you have time to go through the drive-thru at McDonald’s or stick a frozen pizza in the oven, you have time to sauté a chicken breast and dump a bagged salad into a bowl.
No more excuses.
What’s going ON
What goes on inside of you is a continuation of what goes in.
Because if you regularly eat junk or the typical smorgasbord-type meals that most people eat, that is very taxing on your system and you are paving the way for poor digestion.
And it’s just a matter of time before you feel the flames rising up or your gut blowing up!
Keep your meals real and make them easier for your body to break down—avoiding eating animal proteins and starches together. Instead just have meat OR starch with veggies.
You will be literally astounded at the difference this can make!
Plus remember that eating junk and having a long history of poor digestion means that your friendly intestinal flora probably isn’t doing so well—and may be overcome with harmful bacteria and yeasts.
An unhealthy gut environment can perpetuate digestive problems like gas, bloating and constipation, as well as weaken your immune system, cause skin problems and even affect your mental functioning.
Having a healthy diet of real foods and supplementing with a full-spectrum probiotic formula like Super Shield can whip your gut flora back into shape so it can in turn help keep your digestion smooth and support your immune system!
What IS normal—health!
Your body was designed to have health—not digestive issues and pain!
Give it the foods it’s meant to have, help it carry out digestion like it should, and support your gut environment, and you will open up a whole new world of feeling better than you have in years.
Start now.
To your health,
Sherry Brescia
@Shirley – Do you actually follow Great Taste No Pain strictly? Often times it is important to stick to these changes very closely, and not get frustrated or discouraged when noticeable changes aren’t immediate or as quick as you’d like. We certainly recommend you adhere to the guide closely and consistently. Have a great day!
I already have your Great Taste No Pain book but doesn’t really help with the narrowing colon? Doctor said if I can’t handle the pain next step is surgery.
@Shirley – Having a good supplement regimen is really important. But so is having sound digestion, and that comes from your foods. When we eat foods in combinations that are difficult to digest, it can manifest in an array of symptoms and problems. We definitely suggest having a look at our Great Taste No Pain plan and consider following the instructions. Have a great day!
I have been diagnosed with diverticula and a narrowing in the colon. I take probiotics and other supplements. The only thing that helps is Natural Calm magnesium which softens stools so they pass easier and eating small meals. I have a lot of discomfort almost all of the time and pain on a regular basis especially if I eat a big meal. Any suggestions? Thank you.
@Barbara – It could be as simple as not having the right supplements for you, or that it hasn’t been enough time on the GTNP system to see a difference in yourself yet. Either way, do not be discouraged. Working on anxiety and sleep patterns can also be very helpful, so you may find relief sooner rather than later. Please contact our customer service staff if you have any questions at all. Have a great day!
