Here we go again.
Yet ANOTHER prescription drug has been recalled because it contains “unacceptably high” levels of a human carcinogen, N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA). (I wonder what an “acceptably high” level of a carcinogen would be, but I digress…)
This time it’s Metformin, the very popular Type 2 diabetes drug.
This situation may sound familiar to you, and you would be right. Just earlier this year the blockbuster acid reflux drug Zantac was recalled for the EXACT same reason—it was found to contain the cancer causer NDMA!
Plus let’s not forget about the opioid crisis, and the fact that the manufacturers downplayed (hid) the risk of addiction.
Am I the only one who’s thinking, “Enough already!”?
When is mainstream medicine going to wake up and stop blindly shoving these poisons at people as the only answer to health concerns?
And when are people going to stand up and demand something better?
Our current grim reality
The grim reality we are facing is that drug companies will do ANYTHING in their power to generate revenue, your health and life be damned.
This includes lobbying in Washington, paying off politicians, advertising in every form of media known to man (and basically owning the media, for that matter), swaying doctors with gifts, trips and “bonuses,” heavily influencing the curriculums in our medical and nursing schools, and mastering the art of deception in their marketing.
Side effects are consistently downplayed, and if they do occur, never fear—because there is most assuredly another drug (or two or three) that will cover up those effects.
And if a pesky boo-boo like too much of a carcinogen in a popular medication occurs, no worries. Even if massive fines or damages are levied, it’s just a tiny drop in the bucket to a drug company.
It’s time to wake up, folks!
Unless you want to live your days mindlessly taking one (potentially deadly) medication after another, masking your health problems without solving them, suffering numerous side effects, and heaven forbid, developing cancer or accidentally overdosing, you’d better wake up. NOW.
Drug companies do not give one crap about you or your health. They don’t care if you live or die. They care about PROFITS. Period.
And your doctor has likely been educated (programmed) to not know anything else to suggest other than drugs. Even though their intentions may be good, you can’t teach what you don’t know.
So YOU have got to take the bull by the horns and look out for your own health.
You are special, you are worth it and you CAN do it!
Here’s how:
Question everything
Do not blindly agree to take any medication without first reading the package insert IN ITS ENTIRETY.
Don’t rely on what your doctor says—chances are, although they may have good intentions, they only know what the slick drug company reps told them. And as mentioned above, deception is rampant in the marketing efforts of drug companies.
Instead question EVERYTHING.
Explore natural solutions to health concerns
There are many safe, natural options to address health concerns. For example:
- Omega-3 essential fatty acids like VitalMega-3 fish oil can help with high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and inflammatory pain. Plus they have been shown to help with blood sugar control too.
- Full-spectrum probiotic formulas like Super Shield can ease gas, constipation and allergies, and support optimal immune function.
- A digestive enzyme formula like Digestizol Max can be a godsend for people with acid reflux, or indigestion following gallbladder removal.
- Vitamin B12 sprays such as our Hydroxaden 2.5 have been shown to help with chronic back pain, low energy and heart disease prevention.
- Vitamin D products like Optimum DK Formula can help tame the inflammatory immune responses seen in autoimmune conditions, protect against cancer and heart disease and ease depression.
There are very few instances where safe, natural measures can’t be tried first before pharmaceuticals, or at least in conjunction with drugs. Put your foot down and demand better for yourself.
Remember, your doctor works for you—not the other way around.
Don’t forget that diet DOES make a difference
If your doctor tries to tell you that your diet does not make a difference in your state of health, get up and walk out immediately.
And find a doctor that has a clue about nutrition.
Your diet is the #1 factor that determines whether or not you are healthy or plagued with disease, or whether or not you even woke up this morning.
Concentrate on wholesome real foods like fresh vegetables, meats, poultry and fish, eggs, nuts and healthy fats like butter, coconut oil and olive oil.
In addition, dehydration can contribute to chronic pain, constipation and a whole slew of other health issues, so be sure you’re drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Get some exercise
Your level of fitness is right up there near your diet in terms of dictating how healthy (or sick) you are.
Choose health.
No more excuses.
Get your doctor’s OK and work up a sweat at least 3-4 times a week.
Keep researching
Keep researching everything, and watch out for biased science. If you read about a “study” and see that it is funded by a drug company, accept the fact that it is very likely one-sided and biased, and downplays or sweeps under the rug any negative conclusions.
Note that many social media outlets are partners with pharma too, and they are increasingly limiting exposure to, or labeling many valid articles as “false information” when in reality the information is true, but doesn’t support the drug industry’s interests.
Plus remember that many doctors are paid advertising representatives, and just because a company has paid a doctor to say something does not mean it’s true.
For example, doctors used to be paid by the tobacco industry to say that smoking is good for you, and they even used to recommend certain brands (like Camels or Lucky Strike).
I’m serious!
Don’t be a sheep--instead be an independent thinker, look for unbiased studies, use critical assessment skills, and when all else fails, FOLLOW THE MONEY. That will help you decipher truth from fiction.
To your health,
Sherry Brescia

My husband and I both take metformin. So, obviously, I read the article when I saw a headline warning of a recall. The poison was introduced from a specific manufacturing facility in India. I immediately checked the pamphlets from our Rx… phew.. not India.
This is especially true for vaccines. Been doing a deep dive into vaccine safety over the last year ~ though I knew a lot already what I didn’t know has left me horrified. Currently watching The Truth About Vaccines (Ty and Charlene Bollinger) for a second time on the heels of Vaccines Revealed. (Dr. Patrick Gentempo) The corruption, misinformation, progaganda, censorship and outright lying is mind boggling.
Thankyou thankyou I could not agree with you more.I am a wholistic nutritionist .We all have our stories about health problems until we learned to maintain health is easier than to regain health.
Battling high cholesterol and don’t want statins!!! I am vegetarian and watch what I eat but it continues to be high 272 Any ideas?
Poison. Now Joe Biden saying he would like to mandate vaccines!
