Are you being manipulated like this?

Are you being manipulated like this?

Are you being manipulated like this?

I’ve been in the health field for 40 years in one capacity or another, and although being able to help others has been a rewarding blessing to me, I’ve also “gone down a rabbit hole” and come to realize the extent of the dark side of our modern medical system.

Now, before I ruffle any feathers, I want to stress that there are exceptions to everything, and what I’m about to say doesn’t apply to ALL healthcare practitioners in ALL situations.

But it’s widespread enough that I don’t believe there’s a snowball’s chance in you-know-where of anything changing for the better.

This is what I’m talking about:

It’s all about the money

Modern medicine is profit-driven, hands down.

That’s not to say that some doctors don’t get into medicine with a sincere desire to help people with their health challenges.

But even with the best intentions, they become immersed in a system that prioritizes the bottom line over everything else.

One of the best examples of this is COVID.

When COVID made its appearance, very early on many physicians were having tremendous success in treating it with ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, vitamins A, C, and D and zinc, as well as nebulized hydrogen peroxide.

But did we hear about any of that? Nope.

Instead the ONLY acknowledged treatment options were ventilation, remdesivir (also called “Run, death is near” by many nurses who saw in their patients how toxic it was), and eventually the shots…plus a growing number of boosters.

Think about it—hospitals received larger reimbursements for patients on ventilators, remdesivir was a new drug for which a premium price could be charged, and of course the jabs were a huge payday for pharma.

On the other hand, ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine had been around for a long time and were relatively cheap, plus pharma can’t patent vitamins and minerals, so those treatment options were not only ignored but outright vilified!

You might remember the ad campaign discouraging use of ivermectin saying, “C’mon, you are not a horse!” because the drug had first been approved as a horse dewormer in 1975.

But what they conveniently failed to mention is that it was approved as an effective antiparasitic for human use in 1987, and at that point had had an excellent safety track record for 33 years.

A customer for life

Another revenue stream for the medical industry lies in the nature of medications themselves.

With very few exceptions such as an antibiotic for a bacterial infection, most medications don’t “cure” a thing.

All they do is suppress, thwart, block or otherwise interfere with one or more of your body’s innate functions or processes in order to achieve a desired result.

And the only (acknowledged) way to continue getting that result is to keep taking the drug! I can’t think of anything more lucrative.

Acid reducers are a perfect example of this.

Acid reducers are the go-to treatment for people with heartburn/GERD/acid reflux and they “work” by shutting down your stomach’s acid production.

Less acid in your stomach presumably means less acid to rise up into your throat and set your chest on fire.

Sure, you might feel relief, but you are now a customer for life unless you explore other (natural) ways to eliminate heartburn…which your doc probably has no idea about.

One then another then another

Every single drug in existence comes with a lengthy list of potential side effects.

Simply put, you can’t tinker with your body’s functioning without paying some kind of price…and that price is side effects.

So what happens when you start suffering side effects from a drug? Well, you’ll either get a different drug to try, or you’ll get a drug to address the side effects of the original drug.

Starting to see a pattern?

Create a disease or lower the standards

Ever notice how new diseases seem to keep popping up for which medications are the holy grail?

Acid reflux is a good example of this too.

Way back when, people used to get occasional heartburn and would use a variety of remedies to help as needed (Tums, Pepto-Bismol, baking soda, etc.).

Now heartburn has become “acid reflux disease” for which acid reducers are recommended like I mentioned above.

Digestive enzyme deficiencies (which are common in people over 50 and can be helped with your diet) have now been relabeled “Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI)” and for which, you guessed it, prescription drugs are the go-to.

Additionally, the thresholds for various health barometers have been lowered so as to help more people arrive in the land of the medicated.

One that comes to mind is what is considered normal vs. high blood pressure.

High blood pressure used to be a pressure reading that exceeded 140/90.

Here are the current standards:

Normal<120/80

Elevated(120-129)/<80

Stage 1 hypertension*(130-139)/(80-89)

Stage 2 hypertension*140 and up/90 and up

*As you can probably surmise, drugs are typically prescribed for these 2 categories.

Now, if we were seeing a dramatic decrease in heart disease from the new blood pressure standards, that would be one thing. But heart disease is increasing—not decreasing—and it’s still our number one killer.

The media play their part too

I would be remiss if I didn’t remind you that the media play their part in keeping you ignorant of the truth and assisting with pharma’s profits.

They receive the majority of their advertising revenue from the drug industry, so you will never, EVER hear the complete truth (and certainly nothing disparaging) about any pharmaceutical product.

Plus they are very happy to ramp up the fearmongering in order to steer you in the “right direction” toward profitable solutions for their sponsors.

Be your own health advocate!

Now more than ever, you need to be your own health advocate.

Question everything your doctor tells you, especially with respect to drugs they are prescribing, tests they are recommending, or surgeries they say you need. See if there are natural options to drugs, simpler tests, or safer, less invasive forms of treatment besides surgery. And if he or she gets fed up with your questions and refuses to treat you, find another.

Turn off the news. I can’t say this enough. You will only hear what their sponsors want you to hear, and in their particular slant. Seek out independent sources of information such as Sharyl Atkisson, the Highwire with Del Bigtree or Dr. Mercola. Trust me, you’ll be astonished at what you learn.

Explore local farms and farmers’ markets near you because our food supply is becoming increasingly toxic and adulterated and you can’t always count on what’s in your grocery store (or on the news to investigate it!).

Embrace healthy lifestyle habits. Get some exercise, have a healthy whole foods diet, up your water intake, quit smoking, and keep alcohol consumption moderate.

Supplement wisely as needed. For example:

  • A potent probiotic like Super Shield PLUS can help support gut and immune health.
  • Fish oil formulas such as VitalMega-3 can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol and reduce inflammation.
  • Enzyme formulas like Digestizol Max can help eliminate digestive issues.
  • Turmeric formulas like Optimal Turmeric Blend can help naturally reduce arthritis pain.
  • And if your diet is not what it should be, our top-notch multi-vitamin and mineral formula Super Core can fill in the blanks where you may be missing nutrients.

Lastly, remember that people in a state of fear are easier to control. No matter what may come down the pike in the future, keep a level head, don’t panic, and always follow the money trail for whatever is being recommended to you.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia
